There are hundreds of different types of Afghan rug. The myriad of different names relate, more often than not, to the tribal group that wove the rug.
This is not a new rug but most likely about 80 to 90 years old. In very sound condition - not ideal but perfectly usable for long years to come. Its extra wide format makes it ideal for a large dining room. Wool pile hand woven. A lovely mellow red colour and good condition for its age.
We recommend it to use is with RugControl underlay to prevent any movement.

Rugs of this size and type represent a substantial long term investment and are plainly not an everyday purchase. We have large stock of carpets in this size so that you can compare one with another. We are happy to take the time to explain the heritage of each rug and how they are made. RETURNS
Our rugs are delivered in a re-useable bag so returns are easy.
If you want to return a rug it's up to you to package it securely and arrange the return by courier. We make a full refund immediately when the rug arrives here in good condition.
If you would like us to make the collection arrangements using our courier service, we make a charge equal to the courier collection cost. It's usually no more than £20 for mainland UK. A bit more for Highlands, Island and Europe. This amount is deducted from the refund that we make on the rugs return.
