What are Kashgari rugs?
Our Kashgari rugs are woven in northern Pakistan and over the border in Afghanistan. They have a tribal look about them and often customers describe them as Aztec designs. The real influence comes from much further away however. Design elements are very similar to the Persian Qashgai and gabbeh carpets.
The main thing though is the sheer quality of the weaving and the attention to detail in the making of these wonderful oriental rugs.
It is safe to say that our Kashgari rugs are more of a feature item for a room than simpley a floor covering. They have enough detail and colour to sustain ones interest. They are akin to a work of art and would make amazing wall hangings.
