Q: Are oriental rugs out of style?
A: No! Demand for oriental rugs is higher than ever and in order to keep up with supply and demand, as well as offer a large range of rugs, we have over 6000 oriental rugs in stock.
Q: How much are oriental rugs?
A: Oriental rugs can range from less than £100 up to £20,000. Rugs come in different shapes, sizes and quality. A big factor in the cost of an oriental rug is whether it was handmade or produced by machine. Genuine authentic oriental rugs are handmade and will cost significantly more than a machine made equivalent. Similar to the linen on your bed sheets, which have a thread count, rugs are no different and have their own knot count, the higher the count, the softer and higher quality of the rug. The higher the knot count means more time and materials were invested in that rug.
Q: Are Oriental Rugs in Style
A: Oriental rugs are ageless classics that will undoubtedly remain fashionable. These superb quality rugs stand for excellence in a time when mass production has taken centre stage. Genuine Oriental carpets are superior than modern machine-made rugs in terms of quality.
Q: How can I tell if my rug is a real oriental?
A: There are no sewn-on fringes on a true Oriental or Persian carpet. The fringes are a crucial component of the carpet since they are the end of the warp threads. If the fringes on the rug's reverse can be seen to have been stitched on, it is most likely not an authentic oriental rug.
